Not all drunk driving cases are the same.  A first offense with no aggravating circumstances (like a child in the vehicle) is a non-criminal ordinance violation.  A second offense is a misdemeanor.  And once you get to a fourth, it’s a felony, and carries the potential for a prison sentence.  A conviction for a fourth offense OWI also results in a permanent ban on you ability to obtain a driver license in Wisconsin.

Some defense attorneys differentiate criminal defense and drunk driving defense.  We handle both.  Both areas of law share important constitutional protections.  But OWI defense requires additional knowledge.
